"The important aspects of my wheel-thrown ceramics are essentially combining shape, colour and finish to every piece. Over the past few years, more time is spent colouring clays with stains and mixing them with white stoneware clay. It is very exciting to see the patterns evolving as each pot is turned. Each piece is then burnished smooth making it very tactile. The latest pieces are called ‘Celestial Pottery’, which becomes clear when looking at the coloured patterns and forms of each piece."
