"I combine watercolours with different mediums, experimenting to produce works focused mostly around marine life. I let the organic movements of the watery mediums drive my creations, and I love to embed visual and tactile textures within them. I seek to draw out the subtle, sometimes hidden beauty found in nature. I am a marine biologist, palaeontologist and artist who is inspired by the complexities and beauty of life in the ancient and present-day oceans. Using both a scientist's and artist's eye, I hope to showcase and translate some of the secrets that my subjects hold."
