Working mainly in chalk pastels, Peter likes to explore how landscapes change under different weather conditions across the seasons. The East Riding and Yorkshire Wolds are his primary inspiration. He enjoys demonstrating from time to time and sharing techniques and approaches with other artists.
Peter moved to the East Riding in 2019 after an academic career at Manchester, Liverpool and Sheffield Universities. He has a lifelong love of architecture, art, painting, French literature, history and culture. Based at Calf House Studios, Bishop Burton, Peter lives in Brough.
