"I am a self-taught artist with over 15 years of experience exhibiting and selling my work across the country. I explore colour, form, line and light impressionistically through my art. Contemporary abstracted landscapes are my principal output, working both en plein air and in the studio from reference material. In my still life and portraiture work I adopt a modern ‘tonalist’ approach. Multiple layering, clear mark-making and evident brush strokes allow the observer to interpret my drawing and painting process within the finished piece. I work using mixed media but with an emphasis on oils and acrylics."
