"I am a self-taught artist with over 15 years of experience exhibiting and selling my work across the country. I explore colour, form, line and light impressionistically through my art. Contemporary abstracted landscapes are my principal output - working both en plein air and in the studio from reference material. In my still life and portraiture work I adopt a modern ‘tonalist’ approach. Multiple layering, clear mark making and evident brush strokes allow the observer to interpret my drawing and painting process within the finished piece. I work using mixed media but with an emphasis on oils and acrylics."
