"I graduated from Hull Art College with a Dip H Ed and BA Hons in Fine Art in 1990, then from Hull University with PGCE in 1995, also BA Hons in Arts and Humanities in 1998. I started teaching painting and drawing to adult learners following my PGCE graduation and continue to teach to this day. Before I retired in 2012, I was employed as a Curriculum Development Officer for Creative Arts and Media with East Riding Further Education services. My own work has seen a progression from painterly work with landscape, still life etc in watercolours, to a more abstract linear approach inspired by memories, visual interpretation of everyday sights and sounds."
