Chris Teal

A Doncaster-based artist for 20 years, Chris Teal has developed her artistic career from studying with the Open College of the Arts, commission-based work to teaching all ages and abilities, group demonstrations, and Wellness Workshops, through to many solo exhibitions in her fully equipped Fenwick studio.

Chris’s passion for art comes from the natural environment in all forms, from dilapidated barns to giraffes. Her chosen media is acrylic on canvas, mixed media 3D collage and watercolour. Her garden also often inspires many of her works. Chris has also been experimenting with mixed media 3D collage along with recycled packaging, dried plants, acrylics, oil pastels and decaying leaves with remarkable success.

An active professional member of the SAA in Newark and a charity worker for the Alzheimer’s Society (which is close to her heart), Chris is a great believer in promoting all forms of art to support mental health in her local community and passing on her skills to others. Chris has facilitatated numerous Watercolour Workshops in the Yorkshire area with adults and children alike and worked in Primary Education along with supporting SEN/SEND projects in and around the community.
