"My Celestial Ceramics are made by mixing coloured stains into liquid stoneware clay (slip). The slip is dried on a plaster slab. The different coloured balls are then wedged, divided into sections of colour, made into balls combined with white stoneware clay, and then thrown on a wheel. When turning the pieces at leather hard stage the wonderful lines appear, each piece being completely individual. Each pot is then burnished smooth before bisque firing. Transparent glaze is inside each piece to make them usable and waterproof. The outsides are unglazed natural and stained clay which enhances the amazing patterns both inside and out."
