An exciting new opportunity for artists at Ferens Art Gallery, Hull. Apply by midnight on Monday 28th November 2022.
“Are you an artist with an interest in working with children and young people? Would you like to be artist in residence at the Ferens Art Gallery, Hull, and have exclusive access to its collection and your own studio gallery on site from 1st February to 21st May 2023 (dates can be negotiated)?
The residency space is flexible and can be used to display past work, make new work, deliver talks and workshops. This residency will support the creation of new work by the selected artist, responding to the theme of ‘identity’, which is the focus of a community exhibition programme we have planned at the Ferens (19th March – 21st May 2023).
The selected artist will work within the space and must be available at least 1 day a week during opening hours to engage with the public, although you are welcome to work in the space each day of the residency if you like!
To find out more about the opportunity, including requirements, timeframes and the artist fee, please read the brief attached.
